On behalf of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, it is a pleasure to invite you to attend our Annual Scientific Conference to be held at the Darwin Convention Centre from 19 – 22 August 2024. 

The conveners plan to bring you a program designed to reflect cutting edge developments in neurosurgery, as well as sessions about professional development and optimising patients outcomes in all aspects of care, both in emerging areas and in our routine day-to-day practice.  Further details will be available on this website as they come to hand.

From the sparkling blue harbour steeped in WWII history to the city’s waterfront dining and tropical outdoor lifestyle, Darwin is an adventurers’ paradise.  Rich with historical experiences, easy access to experience the lush Mary River wetlands, misty waterfalls and lush waterholes, and the Tiwi Islands, make the most of your trip to the Top End and spend some time exploring the area before and after the Meeting. It is also the ideal time to visit Darwin, being during the dry season, characterised by warm, dry sunny days and cool nights. Temperatures typically range from 21.6– 31.8°C, and humidity levels are much lower.
